SPONSOR A CHILD

WB8 Charity Foundation is committed to improving the lives of underprivileged children — some are orphans — by providing them with education, healthcare, and basic needs. Sponsorship is a powerful way to make a direct impact on a child’s life. This policy outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and guidelines for sponsors and the Foundation to ensure ethical and effective support.

Eligibility for Sponsorship

Any individual, group, or corporate entity interested in sponsoring a child must meet the following criteria: Agree to comply with the Foundation’s sponsorship guidelines.

Sponsorship Commitment

Sponsors commit to supporting a child for a minimum period of one year to ensure continuity. Sponsorship contributions will cover education, healthcare, food, and basic needs. Payments can be made monthly, quarterly, or annually based on the sponsor’s preference. Sponsorship may be terminated by the sponsor with a 30-day written notice, but sponsors are encouraged to give a transition period for continued support.

Sponsor-Child Communication and Interaction

Sponsors will receive periodic updates, photos, and reports on their sponsored child’s progress. Direct communication with the child is only allowed through WB8 Charity Foundation to ensure the child's safety and compliance with child protection policies. In-person visits can be scheduled and approved by the Foundation. Sponsors will have the opportunity to visit the children and Uganda — doors will always be open for them. Volunteering with us will also be allowed.

Privacy and Child Protection

Sponsors must respect the privacy of the child and their family — they can only share their stories in case they see another potential person who might be able to join the sponsorship board. The Foundation prohibits any form of abuse, coercion, or exploitation of sponsored children. All interactions must align with WB8 Charity Foundation’s Child Protection Policy.

Financial Integrity and Transparency

WB8 Charity Foundation commits to financial integrity and transparency. Sponsors will receive annual reports detailing the impact of their contributions. Any concerns about misuse of funds or unethical practices should be reported to the Foundation’s management.

Agreement and Compliance

All sponsors must sign a Sponsorship Agreement Form to acknowledge their commitment and adherence to this policy. Changing a future starts with small meaningful steps.
